Select an object, then drag it or edit coordinates. Plant circles use editable planning footprints, not verified mature canopy sizes. Connect two selected objects in irrigation mode.

Place your first plant.

Property boundaries & satellite imagery

Parcel dimensions are GIS estimates; verify setbacks and legal boundaries from a survey. Newport Beach: use the official map and upload an authorized GeoJSON export.

Image spans the yard width you entered; depth is set from its aspect ratio. Use measured width and a north-up image. Imagery is not included in project exports.

LOCAL SOURCING / REGIONAL OPTIONS

Build the whole landscape.

Verified price examples

Observed October 7, 2026. Sizes and channels differ; these are examples, not equivalent delivered quotes.

Installation budget

Enter a quote or your planning assumptions. No local day rate has been confirmed.

Enter labor rate

Subtotal excludes tax and unpriced objects. Specify whether your quote is per worker or per crew.

Labor sourcing

Ask Greener Hills for Naples planting, and Armstrong or Roger’s Gardens landscape services for Newport Beach. Request worker count, hours, supervision, equipment, removal and delivery separately.

MEASURE THE MICROCLIMATE

What does a day of light look like?

Import a sensor study

CSV columns: timestamp, zone, lux or timestamp, zone, ppfd. Include a timezone offset in every timestamp.

FROM LIGHT TO PLANT FIT

One stake per planting zone.

Use an ESP32 with a calibrated outdoor light sensor. Sample every minute at planned canopy height and compare multiple days, locations and seasons.

Measured: PAR sensor → PPFD → daily light integral.

Estimated: lux × 0.0185 → estimated PPFD under sunlight. Canopy shade and sensor saturation can bias this.

Not measured by light alone: soil moisture, drainage, salinity, temperature or irrigation demand.

No numerical DLI target is inferred from “Sun,” “Partial” or “Shade.” Cultivar-specific targets require evidence.

Page-change monitoring

The repository package includes a daily GitHub Actions watcher for supplier pages and linked price files. It stores baselines, distinguishes fetch failures from changes, and opens an issue with a diff. Activation requires the workflow on your repository’s default branch. It is not running from this local page.

CANOPY / TRUNK / UNDERSTORY

Design plants around each other.

A layered tropical planting

A possible structure, not a validated palm–cultivar pairing or shade simulation.

Canopy: potential shadeTrunk: possible supportUnderstory: separate roots

Adds editable symbols. No trunk mounting or species compatibility is assumed.

Relationships with a reason

Provides support: some bromeliads are epiphytes and can live on trees without parasitizing them. Confirm species, mounting method and host suitability.

May provide shade: measure light at trunk and ground height across seasons. A canopy symbol does not predict shade.

Potential conflict: full-sun guidance versus deep shade, wet roots versus free drainage, or foliage watering versus root-only drip. These are placement conflicts, not evidence of chemical inhibition.

Negative relationships

No verified antagonist dataset is loaded. An absent companion link means unknown, not incompatible. The crop archive below has no palm/bromeliad coverage.

Richer API option

Permapeople exposes plant layers, growing conditions and companion links. Its companion endpoint excludes antagonists. It is not connected: keys and a commercial access arrangement are needed for client-yard use.

Optional plant-care lookup

Requires the deployed Pages function with a Perenual API key. Results are candidates; confirm cultivar before using care instructions.
